Does Chromecast without Google TV work?
Older cast-only Chromecasts need a phone app to cast. A Google TV model is much easier.
Freeing up storage first
The basic Google TV models come with limited storage, and an IPTV player with a full guide needs room to work. Before installing, open Settings, then Apps, and remove the apps you never use; clearing the cache of the biggest ones helps too. Keep at least 1 GB free. If the guide is slow to load after a few weeks, clearing the player's cache in the same menu usually brings the speed back without losing your login.
