The short version
Canada 4K IPTV carries 4K on selected channels, mostly sport and film. To see 4K you need a 4K TV or box, an app that plays it, and a steady connection of about 25 Mbps for each 4K stream. Everything else plays in HD, which is how most Canadian channels broadcast.
- 4K on selected channels, not all
- About 25 Mbps per 4K stream
What do I need for 4K?
| Item | Minimum |
|---|---|
| TV | 4K (UHD) panel, HDMI 2.0 |
| Device | 4K-capable stick or box, or the TV's own app |
| Internet | About 25 Mbps per 4K stream, wired or 5 GHz Wi-Fi |
| Plan | Any plan; 4K is on every plan |
How do I know a channel is really in 4K?
Most apps show the resolution in the info bar. A "4K" label in the channel name only means the feed is offered in 4K; your device and speed decide what you see.
